Tagsurance SL UHF 2.0 Release Notes

What is new

• Lower power consumption
• New visual look on the front panel (higher contrast)
• Faster IO signals (2 ms → 5 µs max transition time)
• Pass/Fail and Busy/Ready outputs have a different internal pull up (1k15 Ω → 10 kΩ)
• (internal) new synthesizer

Due to internal changes needed for the new synthesizer, the backward compatibility of the device API had to be broken. Hence the version is bumped with x+1 (format is x.y and we follow semver.org) from 1.0 to 2.0. Use of this hardware requires Tagsurance 3 version 3.6 or later.

Based on Voyantic lifecycle policy we add new features for 12 months when a non-backward compatible HW version is released. However, this only defines the minimum time and with Tagsurance SL UHF 2.0 release the new feature development for Tagsurance SL UHF 1.0 is planned to continue along version 2.0 and there are no plans to not have these both versions 1.0 and 2.0 in feature parity as long as it is possible.
