Since 2002, Comtel has worked as a sales representative of Elektrobit System Test Ltd in Finland. Comtel successfully provided advanced radio channel products like MIMO channel emulators, MIMO radio channel sounder, virtual drive test system, etc. In 2008, Comtel and Elektrobit provided the world’s first MIMO OTA test system to LG Electronics. Now it becomes a standard performance test method for multi antenna terminals in wireless telecommunication system. Due to a remarkable growth of IoT industries, Comtel made a contract to distribute Voyantic’s high performance UHF and HF/NFC test solutions and to provide products and solutions to customers in Korea.

컴텔테크놀로지는 2000년 4월에 서울에 설립되었으며, 주요사업분야는 CDMA 및 WCDMA 등 이동통신무선네트워크의 서비스품질측정 및 최적화를 위한 드라이브테스트 툴의 개발이었습니다. 컴텔테크놀로지는 2002년도에 PDA를 기반으로, 인-빌딩, 지하철 및 실외 등에서 이동통신서비스품질을 측정하고 데이터를 수집하는 초소형 측정장치를 개발하여, 서울벤처박람회에서 수상을 하였습니다. 2002년도부터 컴텔테크놀로지는 핀란드 일렉트로비트사와 협력하여, 광대역 MIMO채널에뮬레이터 및 MIMO채널사운더, 가상드라이브테스트시스템 등 무선기기의 개발 및 성능향상에 반드시 필요한 테스트시스템을 정부연구기관 및 이동통신서비스사업자, 휴대폰제조사, 시험인증소 등 다양한 고객들에게 공급해오고 있습니다. 2008년도에 LG전자에 공급한 MIMO OTA시스템은 세계최초로 개발되어 공급되었으며, 이 후 삼성전자를 포함한 기타 고객사 들에게 3D MIMO OTA 시스템 및 가상드라이브테스트시스템 등이 공급되었습니다.
최근, 급격히 확산되는 IoT서비스 산업과 더불어 컴텔테크놀로지는 RFID분야에 축적된 기술과 경험, 우수한 성능의 제품을 개발하여 공급하고 있는 핀란드의 Voyantic과 협력하여, UHF 및 HF/NFC 테스트솔루션을 고객 들에게 공급하고 있습니다.
