Tagformance Pro 2.0 Release Notes

Tagformance Pro 2.0 replaces version 1.0 and is the only version available. It is backward compatible with its testing capability and RF-connectors. Digital IO functionality is compatible while the wiring is slightly different due to different connector types. Tagformance Pro Software supports this hardware from version 13.7 onwards. Older software versions cannot be used with Tagformance Pro 2.0 hardware.

Connectors

• The IO connector has been changed from DB-25 to DA-15. In most cases, the IO connector is not used but e.g. RED test kit with spectrum analyzer utilizes it. Voyantic delivers the DA-15 compatible connector with RED test kit when purchased with the Tagformance Pro 2.0 hardware. For other use cases please refer to the pin out in Tagformance Pro manual.
• RS-232 (DE-9) connector has been removed as it is not used.
• The ethernet connector is placed horizontally with the other connectors on the back panel.

Enclosure

• The serial Number is moved from the back panel to the front panel.
• Updated look, with no functional differences.

LEDs

• Carrier Led is omitted.
• Transmit and Receive LEDs are replaced with “activity” led
• After being powered up the device takes ~30 seconds to start up (version 2.0 is a little faster) and the power button indicated the readiness in version 1.0 by the LED getting brighter. In version 2.0 this is done by “ready” led.
• status 1 and status 2 LEDs are omitted.
