Async API version: 1.2.0
Installation Instructions
- Close:
- Tagsurance 3.exe
- Recipe Builder
- Extract installer on Tagsurance Controller PC.
- Run setup.exe to update the system
- If you have Tagsurance HF devices in the system AND are updating from older version than Tagsurance 3.2.0, you will have to update the firmwares of those to the latest version (see Tagsurance 3 manual)
- Restart the Tagsurance 3 Controller PC
- Keep the rack electrified all the time and restart the PC only
IMPORTANT!!! if you are updating from older version than 3.3, read before you start:
- If your Tagsurance Controller rack does not have a router (white small box with 5 ethernet sockets), you will need to first request one from support@voyantic.com; this software version and the ones succeeding it will not work without the router.
- If you have a router (white small box with 5 ethernet sockets) you will need to update it; request the update SW from support@voyantic.com. Note that it is system serial number specific, with the request send the serial numbers of all the Tagsurance 3 systems you update.
- After updating the Tagsurance 3 software (step 3 above), update the router as instructed by support@voyantic.com when you requested the router update SW from them (only for updates from older than Tagsurance 3.3)
Release Notes
New features and improvements
- Lot statistics (yield and tag counts) are shown for the current lot. The lot yield is shown also per lane.
- The completed lots are listed with counts and yields, and the lot specific results can be exported.
- Cut mark is a feature that separates lots from each other visually by the markers. Tags marked as cut mark are not counted into any lot.
- Mühlbauer DDA machines’ RS-232 tester interface support:
- Tagsurance 3 can be now used with the Mühlbauer DDA narrow web machines with either one or two testers. There is full support for the DDA including operator UI and real time view of how the testing progresses in the testing area.
- If your narrow web DDA (single lane) has the “RS-232 tester interface” enabled (we can help you to find this out) then Tagsurance 3 can be integrated to DDA machines easily, just by connecting the RS-232 from the machine and changing the coupling elements to Voyantic Snoop Pro.
- Lane Controller 1.1 is the hardware requirement for Tagsurance 3 system. New Tagsurance 3 systems are delivered with this lane controller version.
- IO-only devices are now supported in TAL15k jobs. Now three device types: Tagsurance SL UHF, Tagsurance HF and IO-only devices can be used in systems using TAL15k or DDA serial interface, although one device type at a time.
- The speed value in the operator UI is shown red when the machine runs backwards and speed is negative.
- Bug fix: The handling of tag result types are aligned in yield an lot counting.
- TAL15k yield calculation considers the all not “PASS” results as “FAIL”
- TAL15k lot counter includes “NOT_COUNTED” results into “ALL”
- Bug fix: The web browser gets stuck in data export because of the issue with browser’s indexDB.
- Bug fix: Recipe Builder allows the sensitivity test control values to be set outside the power range.
- Bug fix: tagNumber is “0” in every “STATION_RESULT in the tag-events stream when a lane controller is not used in the job.
Known Issues:
- Critical Bug: An issue with the Tagsurance SL UHF causing false fails (a test task in recipe fails incorrectly). The issue is visible in jobs utilizing the sensitivity test and the next test task after the sensitivity test is the one that in certain conditions may become a false fail. The bug has been fixed in 3.7.1 and it all customers using version 3.6.0 are highly recommended to upgrade to version 3.7.1 to ensure correct results.
- The EPC data of Tagsurance SL UHF’s inventory test is padded with zeros to meet the expected length. If the expected word count is 8 in the task configuration, and the tag replies EPC of 6 words, the result will have zeros padded to the end.
- The operator UI’s lot list may not show all the completed lots. This may happen in TAL15k job when multiple lots complete at a single test matrix (unlikely scenario).
- The Recipe Builder’s default values for power levels of Tagsurance SL UHF sensitivity test exceeds the range the device can perform. The recipe made based on default values won’t work and the system refuces to start a job.
- Action trigger for system status “Idle” doesn’t work. Instead, you can use the status “Stopping”, which in practice almost the same.
