Snoop Pro Tiny 2.0 Release Notes
Released: February 2026
What is new
- The testing accuracy is improved by reducing the unit-to-unit variance compared to the predecessor
- Snoop Pro Tiny 1.0: ± 1.0 dB typical
- Snoop Pro Tiny 2.0: ± 0.5 dB typical
- The shielding plates are easier to change because the magnets holding the plate are replaced with less powerful ones.
- Integrated strobe light
- Illuminates the tag from below, enabling precise visualization of the tag antenna position and accurate setting of the test start location.
- Flashes a red light for failed tags.
- On/Off switch for Strobe. The fail indicator functionality is always on.
- The strobe functionality requires the Station IO cable version 1.2, which limits compatible lane controller versions: lane controller versions 1.1 and 2.0 support the strobe functionality.
- Snoop Pro Tiny 2.0 can be used without the strobe functionality to measure only RF performance.
- Note: Use of the strobe light is recommended only during production setup and triggering position verification, as certain RFID ICs may be sensitive to high-intensity light.
Backward Compatibility
- Snoop Pro Tiny 2.0 is NOT backward compatiple in RF performance with Snoop Pro Tiny 1.0, because the field symmetry is improved.
- Mechanically, mostly backward compatible with Snoop Pro Tiny 1.0.
- The same shielding plates can be used.
- Features only 3/4 of the attachment holes in the bottom plate because of the added Strobe RJ45 connector. However, the attachment hole positions remain the same.
- Note: Due to the integrated strobe functionality, the Strobe RJ45 connector slightly increases the Snoop Pro Tiny 2.0’s dimensions compared to the previous version.
