This feature supports “doctoring” (or “editing”) processes in reel-to-reel machines. When the doctoring process, i.e., label replacement, locates between two test stations, Tagsurance 3 can count only the results after the label replacement location. Based on the first test station’s result, the reel-to-reel machine must decide to stop for the label replacement. After the replacement location, the second test station tests all tags, including the replaced tags, and ensures the lot data is correct.
The lot management counts only the station results after the replacement location, so the replaced tags/labels get tested and their TID/EPC tracked so that the lot report has 100 % correct data for the rolls delivered.
