⚠️ Important upgrade note for Spectrum Analyzer Users

Before using the spectrum analyzer unit, its drivers have to be installed. If upgrading from version 14.3.x or earlier, you must update the RSA driver before using Tagformance with the Spectrum Analyzer. Starting from Tagformance 14.4, the software requires the 64-bit RSA driver.

New Features

Check Answer

The Query parameters got a new optional validation step, Check Answer. It has been added to improve reliability when interpreting tag responses. When enabled, the software verifies that each tag response contains the requisite number of bits.

  • This option should be used only when signal averaging is off, since averaged signals are a result of multiple interrogations and cannot be validated with this approach.
  • Enabling the feature increases measurement time because responses are required to pass the validation check. Failed responses are conditionally retried (depending on the measurement program).
  • The feature is more rigorous in verifying responses and can reject weaker responses, which are usually accepted by the regular interpretation method.
  • It is recommended to enable the feature only when inconsistencies or glitches, which other commands like Read cannot replicate, are observed.

Bug fixes:

Response test
Follow Threshold now applies the Max TXP limit set under Options. This prevents power requests beyond the device’s characterized range. Constant power is unaffected.

Calculated setups
Distance input fields now convert correctly when using imperial units. Saving and editing calculated or conductive setups no longer introduces rounding or unit conversion errors.

UI improvements
Fixed minor interface issues, including drifting graphs in Tag Emission when resizing the window and overlapping controls in Read Range Sweep Settings.
