State Machine¶
Configuration State¶
The Configuration state is the initial state that the ItemEncode device powers up in. It allows any configuration to be changed, such as DeviceConfig or AntennasConfig. This state is entered upon powerup or upon receiving a DisengageCommand while in the Engaged State.
Engaged State¶
The Engaged state indicates that the device is ready to start. In this state, you cannot change configuration objects. This state is entered upon receiving an EngageCommand while in the Configuration State or upon receiving a StopCommand while in the Operating State. When running in the fixed frequency mode, RF power is ramped upon entering this state and ramped down upon returning to the Configuration State.
Operating State¶
The Operating state indicates that the device is actively searching for and operating on tags. In this state, you cannot change configuration objects. This state is is entered upon receiving a StartCommand while in the Engaged State.
